JOB DESCRIPTION - Part time manager
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for somebody who is friendly and enjoys a customer facing role within a retail environment. Good communication skills are essential. We are looking for someone who is flexible with their working hours and able to occasionally work from a remote location at events throughout the year.
Our retail manager must be creative with new marketing schemes and enjoys brainstorming and analysing figures to achieve sales goals. We are looking for a positive role model who loves to lead and work as a team.
Prior retail management experience is essential.
Job Role:
Our retail manager would be expected to complete the following:
- Customer service.
- Money handling including end of day cashing up and reporting.
- Analyse sales and revenue reports.
- Motivate staff to achieve sales targets.
- Staff rotas including recording and reporting monthly worked hours of all staff.
- Staff training.
- Staff management including hiring and dismissing staff.
- Day to day organisation.
- Monitor stock levels.
- Merchandising.
- Resolve customer queries and complaints.
- Plan and oversee in-store promotional events and displays.
- Ensure the store fulfils all legal health and safety guidelines.
- Fulfil online orders.
- Create marketing materials for online social channels.
Specifications:
This is a part time role;
Start date: Early March
Days: Wednesday - Saturday, subject to change, must be flexible.
Hours: 16 hours per week
Wednesday - Saturday | 10:00am - 2:00pm
Pay: £14 p/h | Paid monthly
Holiday Pay: 90 hours per year
Statutory Sick Pay (SSP): To claim your SSP you must be sick for a minimum of 4 consecutive days. You must inform your manager of your sickness on each day in writing via text or email. This includes non-working days.

On occasion, our retail manager may be required to work on a market stall for specific events. For example at tattoo conventions, festivals or local artisan markets.
